Yes, you read that right! While how much of this is true is not known yet, but a certain report does state that the veteran actor has been approached by Google to be the voice behind Google Maps. For those of you unversed, we usually hear Australia-born, New York-based entertainer Karen Jacobsen’s voice taking us through the nook and corners of Mumbai.
A certain source has been quoted by Mid-Day saying, “Amitabh Bachchan has the most influential and recognizable baritone. Hence, he is the best choice for the voice of Google Maps. He has been approached, but the contract has not been signed yet.”

While there is no official announcement yet, the source further said that Amitabh Bachchan has quoted an exorbitant price for his services. He source also said that keep in mind the current social distancing norms in mind, Mr Bachchan will be doing the initial recordings from his home.
On the professional front, Amitabh Bachchan will soon be seen in Shoojit Sircar’s Gulabo Sitabo alongside Ayushmann Khurrana. The film is slated to release on the OTT streaming giant, Amazon Prime on the 12th of June.
