Katrina Kaif’s first female Indian superhero film to be directed by Ali Abbas Zafar has all the attention of the world. After the speculations that the franchise will be a Netflix Original, the rumour mill now says that it is been set on a budget of 200 crores. Yes, you read that right. Below are all the details you would want to know.

The said Superhero film starring Katrina Kaif will have two parts. Now if the reports are to be believed, Ali Abbas Zafar has acquired a sum of 80-85 crores to make the first part of the franchise.

According to the report in Bollywood Hungama, a source close to the development said, “It’s a massive film mounted on a never seen before scale for a female protagonist. Ali was very keen on making it as a feature film for the big screen, but he wasn’t able to raise the funds that were needed, following which he decided to go the OTT way. The filmmaker is of the belief that his next will be a game-changer of sorts for the genre and will pave way for many more women-centric action films in Bollywood.”

The source revealed that Katrina Kaif is prepping for her part in her possible way at home. The film is going to have two parts. The the source says that the budget will be decided by Netflix for it depending on the success of Part 1.

The source said, “The budget of part two will be decided based on how part one of the superhero film fares. But the idea is to go a notch higher as the story moves forward and take a stride in budget too, going above Rs. 100 crore, taking the net-worth of Katrina’s film close to Rs. 200 crore.”
